Update on Aubrey

I have not been able to take any pics this week because we have been on the move, but Aubrey has been very cute lately. She has been very smilely and she talks allot! She also has been drolling allot, so maybe she will be like me and get teeth early. She also slept from 12:30 till 9:30 the other night! One of my co-workers asked me how we got her to sleep through the night and I really have no clue! We really have not been strick with a schedule or making her cry it out or anything! That child has never cried for more then 5 min before we go get her. I think it does help that we are more night owls, so she stays up with us pretty late, and she really doesn't take to many naps during the day time.... Any who, she has her 2 mth checkup tomorrow so we will get to see how much see wts, because all her 0-3mth clothes don't fit anymore!

Moving sucks

Yeah, the title really sums it up nicely! Moving really sucks when you have a 9 week old and have to work 7 days striaght! Yup, moving sucks!

Breast cancer half marathon

On Sunday, eight weeks after having Aubrey, I completed my very first half marathon in 3:38:12! (13.2 miles, in case you were wondering!) It was so amazing because it was to support breast cancer research at Mayo Clinic, and it was even more speical for Aubrey and I because my Aunt Karen was just diagnosed with breast cancer in Dec. 09. The crowd was just wonderful! There were bands along A1A, and people in front of there homes cheering us on!! Aubrey was getting so much attention too!! People keep wanting to take pictures of the youngest half marathoner ever!! hehe!

The last 3 1/2 miles were so painful!! It was all uphill on the JTB brigde in Jax beach. I almost think that this was more painful then labor because at least you get pain med options during labor, but this.... the only thing that makes the pain go away is to finish the whole thing! And I completed my goal of running 5.2 of the 13 miles!

8 weeks!!

Today Aubrey is 2 mths old! Man how the time has just flown by!!



She is now VERY vocal!! She also will stick out her tonge when you stick yours out! We have her in the bath kinda kicking her legs, no arm movement. We also put her face under, and she doesn't really mind it anymore. She likes when Boone and Clyde are on the tredmill. She thinks it is very funny and yells at them. She can roll from her side to back or belly, but all the sudden she has decided that she does not like belly time! She throws a fit everytime we put her on her belly! hehe

Nick and Aubrey

Today I got called into work, so Nick is having to watch Aubrey.... but Nick is not really himself at the moment because he has a back injury and is on muscle relaxers. Any who, Nick called me this am and said that he woke up at 9 to her Aubrey screaming her head off. He said that it looked like she had been crying for quite some time. Now, I feed her at 3am when I got the call from my work that I had to come in, so I can only imagine how long it had been since she started crying! Poor, poor Aubrey and Nick! I get to come home to 2 babies today!

Last night both Nick and I had to work, so Nick's family help out by watching Aubrey for us, and after my shift I had to drive down to their home and I stayed the night.... so this morning after breakfast two of my nieces, Lily and Ava, came to sit by Aubrey and I, and Lily started singing a very cute little song she made up. Aubrey loved it!! She just sat there starring at her cousins. She even did a few little coos, and started to wine when Lily and Ava went to go play! I am so glad to see that she is already interested in her cousins! They will all have so much fun playing together!!

New job and new apartment!!! YAY!

That is right, I got the full time position at work!! Aubrey was so excited for me that she spit up on me!! hehe Nick and I went today to sign a new lease for a BEAUTIFUL apartment closer to both of our jobs and school. It has hardwood floors, granite counters, all new appliances, a fire place, and we got to pick paint colors and the apartment is going to paint for us!!! And again, Aubrey was so excited when she saw her new room, that she spit up on me!! We are paying allot more, but it is ssssoooo worth it!

Aubrey is doing pretty well at holding her head up by herself and today to was turning her neck to look around! She is really loving when we sing to her!! It is so funny how she is already starting to sing back at us!! She can now sing "o", "ah", and "i". She is a smarty pants! I can't believe next week she is going to be 2 mths old! The time has really flown by!

Back to work :(

So, I survived going back to work. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, and the best part was when I called on my way home Nick said she was being really cranky. So I drove crazy fast home, and right when she saw me she gave me a huge smile and was so happy!!! It really made the long day worth every min!! Nick said that she had been trying to find a boob on him all day!! hehe!

I also applied for a full time position, now that I know Nick can survive! hehe!

Back to work :(

Yes, I have to go back to work tomorrow!!! Dreading it! Nick is going to be all by himself with her, please pray for my nerves!!!

Aubrey started really trying to copy my facial expressions yesterday. She thought it was very funny when I was singing, and then she started trying to sing!!! So cute!!
